Big Eye Sushi - Akron, OH

We love our sushi!  And currently, Big Eye Sushi serves the best in the Akron area, that we have found.  On a Friday night, go in and ask for the incredible David Green (he's a waiter, not an item on the menu).  He'll set you straight if you don't know what to order.                                            Big Eye is located off a main street on the west end of town, in a strip mall.  You would drive right by it if you didn't know it was there.  The restaurant is small and intimate.  It includes a sushi bar for those who like to watch their dinner being made.  The wine selection is meager, but the food more than makes up for it.

Below you see their delicious Brain Roll at the top of the plate, with Sunrise Island on the lower left and Spicy Scallop on the lower right.  Brain Roll included avocado, which cut the heat from the spices, and the Sunrise Island included white tuna and red tuna, no rice.

This particular sushi barge landed on our table filled with Spicy Scallop (middle right), Manhattan Roll (middle left), and two specialty rolls.  Though we didn't order it on this night, their Volcano Roll is the best I've tried so far.  (Have tried the Volcano Roll at three other sushi places and there is NO comparison.)
