Wines Across America

Wine Across America, by Charles O'Rear and Daphne Larkin is not a new book. It was published in 2007. But it's new to me! I just came across this review of a lovely wine and travel related coffee table book. "It is a gorgeous photo journal of the landscapes, the people, and the wine made across the United States. Filled with fascinating facts about what grapes are planted where, and when, this is a real treat for the eyes and mind. The idea for the book began with the authors sitting on their back porch, leisurely sipping wine from one of the 50 states that now have wineries. Before that bottle was finished, the authors had decided to head out on the ultimate road trip - to sip, savor and experience wines from wineries across the United States, from Washington State to Hawaii and Texas. (hey! I'm trying to do that too!)
Charles O'Rear is an acclaimed photographer and Daphne Larkin is an award-winning writer. This is a great coffee-table book for any wine lover."
You missed my birthday, but it's ok if you put this on the list for my next Christmas present.
